Schuylkill County members have each other’s backs
Schuylkill County workers displayed their solidarity at a County Commissioners meeting as employees from the Municipal Authority showed up in support of their sisters and brothers working in the Courthouse. Local 1512 President Kathleen Gillespie spoke out about concerns over a privatization effort in the tax claim bureau. Union members received assurance from the commissioners that their jobs and union contract would be retained and respected through this process. AFSCME members in the county will continue to monitor this situation and have each other’s backs!
