This Thanksgiving, we are especially grateful for union solidarity, strong contracts, and the public safety professionals who work around the clock—including holidays—to make sure our families and festivities are protected.

That includes our brothers and sisters working in Warren County's prison, sheriff's office, and 911 center, who overwhelmingly ratified a powerful three-year contract that includes higher wages, increased longevity pay, sick leave buyback, and more provisions that will allow these dedicated professionals of corrections, law enforcement, and emergency response, to better be able to support themselves and their families, which enables them to continue to dutifully serve their community.

Congratulations to the members of AFSCME Local 1125 for this contract victory! Thank you—and all of your fellow public safety professionals throughout Pennsylvania and beyond—for all you do to keep our communities safe and ensure we can enjoy the holidays with our loved ones.

"This is why it's important to have a union. Without being AFSCME members, we wouldn't have been able to negotiate such a good contract." - Sergeant Michael Rogers, Warren County Prison, AFSCME Local 1125
