Council 13 mourns loss of Lackawanna County CO
The AFSCME Council 13 family sends its deepest condolences to the family of Fred Demich, Jr., a member of AFSCME Local 2736 who passed away on May 28, 2022, due to a medical issue while on the job as a corrections officer at Lackawanna County Prison.
“In the field of corrections, officers and their families know each day is uncertain when they go to work, and that’s without accounting for illness and natural causes. No matter the reason, this is a devastating loss, and we are all keeping Fred’s family, friends, and coworkers in our prayers and in our hearts,” Council 13 Executive Director David Henderson said.
