Dave Warfel Tribute: AFSCME Members in DCNR Bureau of Forestry, Division of Forest Fire Protection

This wildfire season, we are remembering our fallen brother.

Dave Warfel was a Forest District Maintenance Supervisor for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' (DCNR) and member of AFSCME Local 2369. He passed away at the Wildland Fire Academy after a day of instructing new firefighters on May 29, 2025. 

Dave's colleagues in DCNR's Bureau of Forestry, Division of Forest Fire Protection, honor his memory by carrying on his legacy of dedication to the profession of firefighting.
