Local 2366 President calls on legislators to end PA budget crisis

We need a state budget NOW! As Pennsylvania's budget impasse enters its fourth month, AFSCME Local 2366 President Leslie Raser from East Stroudsburg University (PA State System of Higher Education) made the trek to Harrisburg to call on lawmakers to end the political gamesmanship that has public services and the communities that rely on them struggling to stay afloat.

"Our state budget crisis and the federal government shutdown are situations created by politicians, but it is workers, families, and vulnerable populations, who are suffering – and will continue to suffer if we don’t quickly find resolutions," Leslie said.
We were joined by our legislative allies and members of SEIU who are already feeling the pain of this impasse through furloughs at the county level. We stand united for a resolution that restores fiscal sanity and protects public services in our commonwealth.
