Support 911 Dispatchers: National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 2026

We thank the 911 dispatchers, emergency phone operators, and all the public safety telecommunicators who answer the call 24/7/365. We thank them by standing and fighting with them. We are calling on Congress to reclassify 911 dispatchers. The federal government still classifies them as admin/clerical workers. That label is outdated. It doesn’t reflect the high-stakes, high-tech reality of being a 911 dispatcher today, or the great work that our clerical members perform.
