Twenty-nine members of AFSCME Council 13 spent their Saturday with their union sisters and brothers in Franklin, PA, for a Local Union Officer Training.

These AFSCME activists sharpened their knowledge of local union officer duties, how to run effective local meetings, how to develop action plans, how to grow membership, AFSCME GO, Council 13's Political & Legislative (PAL) program, and more.

This was a member-driven training with a variety of discussions, presentations, and engaging activities, with an enthusiastic group of union members ready to learn and refresh the skills needed to keep their local unions AFSCME Strong.

Several of the local leaders in attendance led by example and either signed up for PAL for the first time or increased their contribution to the MVP level, earning them a sweet new AFSCME PEOPLE sweatshirt.

At the end of the training, the biggest question was: "when is the next training?"

We hope you join us next time, and please check out future trainings here!
